Kane Transport has a safety program that includes the following aspects: a Safety Director working full time, intensive training for new employees, meetings in which drivers and dispatchers discuss safety, field checks for drivers and equipments in order to ensure safety and maintenance.

These are some of the awards they have won: Safety Award First Place Winners of the Minnesota Trucking Association Local and Long Distance Tank Truck in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002; Safety Improvement Award of the National Tank Truck Carriers in four consecutive years (2001); Carriers Personnel Safety Award of the National Tank Truck Carriers in 2001 and 2003; Grand Safety Award of the National Tank Truck Carriers in 1998 and 1999; Two "Driver of the Month" Awards of the Minnesota Trucking Association in February 1999 and February 2002 and the Minnesota Trucking Association "Driver of the Year" Award ~ Morris (Sonny) Skare in February 2002.
