Gulf Coast Transport was founded in 1988 by Steve Wooten, in Texas, when he was only 26 years old. He established the business in Mesquite, TX. With only three trucks and 5 employees he opened its doors. The growth of the company through the years was tremendous; today it has more than 350 trucks and 400 employees.

Today it is in the top 5% of domestic truckloads carriers and is the largest dry van carrier based in Dallas/Fort Worth that offers logistic solutions. It also provides warehousing solutions in a space of nine million square ft.
The company operates with over 350 tractors and 700 trailers, it also maintains over 3700 carriers to provide nationwide coverage and a fleet of more than 700 high-cube 53 vans. It is always utilizing more efficient technology. That is why all their units are equipped with Qualcomm satellite mobile communication and tracking system to provide prompt and precise status information for every shipment, at all the times to its clients.
