Boosts Records Storage Capabilities Throughout the Northeast Corridor
STRATFORD, Conn. -- In celebration of 90 years in the transportation industry, William B. Meyer, Inc., an agent for United Van Lines, has expanded regionally for the second time in as many months by acquiring the Bay State Record Services Center. William B. Meyer, Inc. will now operate its record storage and management services from locations in Chicopee and Franklin, Mass., in addition to its headquarters in Stratford, Conn. and its facility in Bedford Hills, N.Y. A book depository is also located at the Franklin location. In July 2005, William B. Meyer, Inc. acquired the transportation and hauling operations of Bay State Moving Company.
This acquisition will immediately increase William B. Meyer, Inc.s current records management client base by 20 percent. The company is now able to offer professional records management services throughout the Northeast corridor from New York City to Boston. William B. Meyer, Inc. also offers off-site data vault storage and management at its Stratford and Bedford Hills facilities. As a family owned and operated company, William B. Meyer, Inc. is confident that this acquisition will continue to diversify and expand its customer base, add new markets and provide growth opportunities for its staff. The management team and all of the administrative, warehouse and driver staff of Bay State Record Service Center will be joining William B. Meyer, Inc.
