In 1970 Marvin H. Pritchett started this company. He bought a timber producer and three trucks. The timber and the trucking business were combined but a contraction in the timber business made Pritchett concentrate in the trucking business. In 1980 he acquired Pritchett Trucking Company along with a new Mack truck.
Today Pritchett Trucking Incorporated has approximately 300 tractors and 600 trailers. The company employs 400 people and has three terminals in Lake Butler and Palatka Florida. Their service covers the 48 states and Canada.
Pritchett Trucking is constantly looking to hire truck drivers. They have different job openings: the flatbed drivers (they have to haul a variety of products in regional routes while being able to be home every weekend). The chip van position consists of carrying wood products; the schedule is Monday through Friday at day or night.

To be a Pritchett Trucking driver you must have a Class A CDL, a good record, two years of experience and current DOT physical. The driver must pass a 90 day trial period.
