The Admiral Merchants Motor Freight Company began in 1929 under the name of Mueller Motor Freight. Later the company included Merchants Motor Freight, Jack Cole /Dixie Highway and Mckeown Transport. Today, Admiral Merchants Motor Freight offers delivery services across the US and Canada.
Its fleet consists in 522 tractors, owner operators, 250 flat bed trailers, 230 drop deck trailers, 68 hot shot units, 30 haulers and 42 specialty trailers. The central office is in Minneapolis and the kinds of services it gives are truckload and LTL.
Admiral Merchants is looking for Owner Operators. They must have a 15 year or newer well maintained tractor, and a trailer with 20 years of age minimum. The driver must have 2 years OTR, be 25 years old, or a younger driver but with zero accidents and violations in his record. A national covered pager or mobile phone and all the drivers must have workers' compensation coverage.
Admiral Merchants offers to the owner operators physical damage coverage, fuel discounts, 250 agents through the country, terminal pay, mandatory bobtail and deadhead insurance, National Tire account and Michelin, Yokahama and Bridgestone discounts.
