Shaw Transport is the Distribution division of Shaw Industries, a manufacturer of carpets, floor covering and rugs for residential and commercial buildings. The company started in 1958 as Star Dye Company managed by Robert E. Shaw. By 1971, the company changed its name to Shaw Industries Incorporated.
The function of Shaw Transport division is to deliver carpet from Dalton to the Regional Warehouses. Shaw Transport also carries the product to customer stores in the Southeast. Some of the cities inside the Shaw Transport network are Anniston, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa in Alabama; Bowling Green, Lexington in Kentucky; Chattanooga, Nashville in Tennessee, Athens, Atlanta and Savannah in Georgia.

For the single driver, the pay scale starts in $0.33 per mile. For the team drivers the rates stars in $0.20 per mile and a downtime pay of $8 hour per person among other characteristics.
