Mike Lackey, P.E., had joined the companys Board of Directors. Over his career, Mike has been one of the most respected leaders in the transportation fields, said Brian Larson, President, Chairman and CEO of TranSystems, not only in the Kansas Department of Transportation where he leaves a legacy of forward-thinking planning and execution, but across the country. His experience and leadership ability is a great addition to our Board and complements the resources we already have in place. At the Kansas Department of Transportation he has served as District Engineer; Bureau Chief of Construction and Management; Division Director of Operations; and Assistant Secretary and State Transportation Engineer. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Kansas, a member of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a Fellow and Life Member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, a member of the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (where he has served in all elected state offices including President), Chairman-elect of the College of Engineering Advisory Council of Kansas State University and Charter member of the Engineering Hall of Fame. He has served on numerous state, regional and national committees and boards in the transportation industry, and has received several national level awards and honors for work in the field.
