Transportation safety specialist, Coy Lorance, retired from the service as a Texas State Trooper after 27 years. He spent 13 years in the Highway Patrol Division and 14 years in the License and Weight Division. He currently holds a Special Texas Ranger Commission and is a member of the Homeland Security Highway Watch Program. Since retirement in 1995, he has continued his training in various schools dealing with the transportation industry including J.J. Keller's D.O.T. compliance, Texas Motor Transportation Association's Safety Supervision of Motor Fleets, Bendix air brake training school, and more. He founded Transportation Safety Specialists Inc. in 1995 which provides the transportation industry compliance consulting regarding Department of Transportation Rules and Regulations. Coy will conduct pre Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Audits to make sure your ready in case the Hearse, Nurse, Tow Truck Rule brings DOT down on you.
