G & D Transportation offers intermodal, dedicated, over-the-road, flatbed, contract distribution, just-in-time, and many other specialized transportation services. Founded in 1984, G & D Transportation is based in Morton, Illinois and is a privately held carrier. Working with sister companies, CDO Distribution and SPS (Specialized Process Services), G & D Transportation, is uniquely qualified to manage all kinds of transportation needs.

G & D Transportation has Intermodal Servicing Ramps and Ports located in these U.S. cities: Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Decatur, Illinois; Savannah, Georgia; Norfolk, Virginia; East Peoria, Illinois; Charleston, South Carolina; and St. Louis, Missouri.

Intermodal Drivers haul all kinds of freight and travel throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Missouri. Drivers are eligible for Company Benefits and have weekends home.

Flatbed Drivers for G & D Transportation haul general freight. The predominant shipping lanes are: the Southeastern United States; Ohio; and Colorado. Drivers have weekends home and are eligible for Company Benefits. G & D Transportation offers a competitive pay rate (on a mileage basis) and a set pay rate for tarping, securing, and unsecuring loads.

G & D Transportation also has the need for Local Drivers in many of its’ locations. The locations where they are hiring Local Drivers include: Champaign, Illinois; Morton, Illinois; Bartonville, Illinois; East Peoria, Illinois; Oswego, Illinois; Rockford, Illinois, Decatur, Illinois; Griffin, Georgia; Smithfield, North Carolina. Note: There is currently a big need for Local Drivers in Chicago, Illinois.

The pay and benefits offered by G & D Transportation are very competitive with industry standards. The pay rate is based on two components---mileage and accessorial.  Most G & D Transportation drivers earn (on average) between $700-$900 a week, after taxes. (This is based on an average pay rate of 45-47 cpm, with accessorial pay included. Drivers are paid every Friday, by Direct Deposit.
