OTR system driver pay package (w/ 1 cent safety bonus)
1 yr of experience earns 43 cents
2 yrs of experience earns 43.5 cents
3 yrs of experience earns 44 cents
4 yrs of experience earns 44.5 cents
5 yrs of experience earns 45 cents
6 yrs of experience earns 45.5 cents
7 yrs of experience earns 46 cents!
Paid Weekly
OTR Team Company Drivers earn 46 cents
(45 cents base pay plus 1 cent safety bonus)

Regional drivers are home weekly and drive excellent miles. Regional Divisions: Southeast Regional, Ohio Regional, Mississippi Regional, Tennessee Regional, Virginia Regional, Northeast Regional.

GREEN MILE$ PROGRAM
Company Drivers running in the Northeast part of the country can make an unprecedented $.50 cpm and operators make $.95 per dispatched mile, loaded or empty, PLUS their added fuel stabilization program pay.

Heartland Express Company Driver Requirements:
- MUST be 23 years of age
- MUST HAVE 1 year of verifiable over-the-road driving experience
- MUST HAVE No Felony convictions
- MUST be able to operate in Canada
- A stable employment history
- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement in the state of the drivers residence
- Pass a DOT physical and meet Heartland's standards
- Completion of a 3 day orientation (in Iowa City, IA; Atlanta, GA; Kingsport, TN; Columbus, OH; Carlisle, PA; or Chester, VA)
- No DWI or DUI in the last 5 years
- No reckless or careless driving in the last 5 years
- No major accident in the last 3 years (no preventable accident over $6,000. No personal injury preventable still pending accident)
- No more than 4 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 12 months
- No more than 1 serious violation in the last 5 years (Excessive speed of 15mph or over the posted speed limit. Following too close)
