Lisa Motor Lines, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Frozen Food Express, and is a refrigerated carrier that operates in all 48 contiguous United States, as well as Canada. The headquarters for Lisa Truck Lines is in Fort Worth, Texas. The company has a fleet of 325 company trucks, to go along with 70 owner-operators, as well. Lisa Motor Lines offers plenty of truck driving opportunities for both Company Drivers and Owner-Operators alike. Owner-Operators earn 82 cents per mile, loaded or empty (first 100 empty miles not paid); Also, Lisa Motor Lines pays 85 cents per mile for carcass shipments. Requirements for Owner-Operators who drive for Lisa Motor Lines include: contractor is responsible for loading and unloading, unless done by shipper or consignee; contractor is responsible for fuel and road use taxes; contractor is responsible for state equalization taxes; all tractors must be late model; maximum tractor weight is 18,500 lbs; tractor must have a 72” clearance between cab and 5th wheel.
Company Drivers who drive for Lisa Motor Lines know that they will be dealing with modern, well-maintained equipment. The company trucks are all late model, and the company trailers are equipped with Carrier and Thermo King refrigerated units.
Compensation for Company Drivers starts with a training pay of $350 per week. After training, the post training pay starts at 25 cents per mile. After 6 months, the pay goes up to 27 cents per mile; after 1 year the pay goes up to 29 cents per mile. The rest of the gradual pay scale: after 2 years, 30 cents; after 3 years, 31 cents; after 4 years, 32 cents; after 5 years, 33 cents; after 6 years, 34 cents; after 7 years, 35 cents.
Layover pay is $30 per day. Drop pay is $15 per drop, after the first drop, and pickup pay is $15 per pickup, after the first pickup. After one year of continuous service, Company Drivers receive a week of paid vacation. After two years of continuous service, they receive two weeks of paid vacation.
Requirements for Company Drivers who drive for Lisa Motor Lines include these: must be at least 21 years of age; must have a valid CDL; must have at least one year of verifiable OTR experience; must maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance when representing Lisa Motor Lines; must adhere to and comply with all Lisa Motor Line company policies (unauthorized passenger policy; substance abuse/alcohol policy, etc.); must pass DOT physical; must pass DOT drug test; must have a good driving record that meets Lisa Motor Line company standards.
