Paschall Truck Lines Congratulates May Award Winners
Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) proudly announces the winners of the May 2005 Company Driver and Owner Operator of the Month Awards. Johnny Harp is the Company Driver of the Month and Ernest and Peggy Martin are the Owner Operators of the Month.
Johnny Harp retired from the Air Force thirteen years ago. After seeing Thailand, England, Germany and much of the United States throughout his career, he decided to become a truck driver. For ten years, he has been driving for PTL. In addition to this award, Harp was named Driver of the Month in July 1997 and September 2003.
Harp enjoys his many exciting experiences on the road. He delivered to caves in Kansas City, MO and spent the night in a parking lot waiting for the road to open again through the Siskiyous in California. Passing time in Wendover, NV while the wind died down across the Great Salt Lake in Utah was a really tough experience.
Away from work, Harp spends time developing his skill at photography. He has been married to his wife Miriam for 35 years. They have one son named Kevin.
Owner Operators of the Month Earnest and Peggy Martin have been married for 43 years. They have two children, Roxanne and Cindy. Eighteen years ago, they decided to go out on the road and become professional drivers. The couple has contracted with PTL for two years.
Although they have shared many unique times on the road, the most thrilling was when they stopped in Las Vegas. The Martins enjoy the money they earn and the freedom from constant supervision in trucking. They are the recipients of three safety awards from PTL.
When not on the road, the Martins enjoy playing with their grandchildren. They hope to soon retire to Florida.
PTL provides driving opportunities for solos, teams and owner operators. The company offers a competitive pay package, including a $3,000 sign on-bonus for company drivers and owner operators. PTL also offers the best fuel surcharge in the industry along with a fuel bonus, incentives to run in New York City and Canada, guaranteed home time and no loading or unloading.
