Shaffer Trucking Pay
Shaffer Trucking offers one of the most comprehensive pay packages in the truckload industry for its qualified drivers. National drivers with one or two years verifiable OTR experience start at $.42 per mile. Drivers with three or less jobs and five years of driving experience in the last five years start at $.45 per mile. In addition, drivers are eligible for a one cent per mile annual pay increase up to $.48 per mile.
Regional and Dedicated Fleets may operate on a slightly different starting mileage rate of pay. Training and Student programs are available for drivers with less than one year of experience. Dedicated and Team Fleet opportunities are also available.

Shaffer Trucking Home Time We believe it is important to get you home frequently. In the national fleet, you can expect to be away from home for one and a half to two and a half weeks, depending on where you live. You will earn one day off for every six days of driving. Non-vacation home time will generally be limited to a maximum of four consecutive days unless, as a result of your high level of productivity, your fleet manager approves additional time.
Regional and dedicated fleet drivers who live in the region or where the dedicated fleet operates are generally home or through their home more often than national drivers.
