BARR-NUNN PROVES IT’S VALUES ITS DRIVERS - A NEW FLEET AND A HIGHER PAY PACKAGE!
Granger, IA, April 11, 2005—Barr-Nunn Transportation, Inc. is a widely acclaimed long-haul, dry van truckload carrier providing highest quality services to over 500 customers nationwide. At Barr-Nunn, we want our drivers to be happy. That’s why we are constantly upgrading their benefits and anticipating and removing any obstacle to their top success. And we hire our Drivers ONE AT A TIME, so that you’re not a number here…we take a personal interest in each Driver.
We are pleased to announce that we are raising the current pay scale of $900 a week to $935 a week for all our Northeast Regional and Dedicated Company Drivers. And we’re very excited about our new equipment. We obtained 60 new international tractors in October 2004 and we are going to get 205 new Freightliner Columbia’s this year and replace the remaining fleet in 2006. Our new equipment is so state-of-the art that we have given one piece to Labonte-Haas Motorsports to pull the #44 Coast Guard Shield of Freedom Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Justin Labonte from race to race. We are also a proud associate sponsor of this car.
Paul Ashenhurst, a Barr-Nunn company driver, states that “Barr-Nunn is such a great place to work. The Company stands way above the rest in taking care of its Drivers—in every possible aspect of their personal and professional lives. We get all kinds of upgrades in benefits and other financial areas and continuous support programs. And we get once-in-a-lifetime experiences; such as, watching and being part of one of the great races—the Labonte-Haas Motorsports in Atlanta. I was there! It’s a fact that the difference is truly real at Barr-Nunn…not just words.”
