Paschall Truck Lines Honors March Award Winners
Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) congratulates the winners of the March 2005 Company
Driver and Owner Operator of the Month Awards. Samuel Maier is the Company Driver
of the Month and Albert and Ida White are the Owner Operators of the Month.
Samuel Maier has been driving for PTL for over ten years. In his professional
driving career of 12 years, Maier has concentrated on driving in the Midwest
and Gulf Coast. He recently won a 1,200,000 mile safety award at PTL, but says
the most exciting experience was being named Driver of the Month.
Maier is an avid Nascar fan. When not on the road, he enjoys sport shooting
and fishing. When asked about driving, Maier said, “For the most part,
the job is grinding away the long, sometimes boring hours on the road. Thank
God for AM/FM radio.”
Albert and Ida White have been married for 17 years. Their career on the road
together has lasted over five years and the couple worked at several companies
before choosing PTL. The Whites were previously named Drivers of the Month and
Drivers of the Year. Albert has completed 900,000 safe miles and Ida has completed
800,000.
The team shared an unusual yet scary experience. Ida was driving in Virginia
when a tornado crossed over the interstate about a mile in front of them. “Everyday
brings a new experience,” the couple says.
At home, the Whites go boating and trail riding on ATVs with their nephews
and nieces. They hope to build a dream home in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
PTL provides driving opportunities for solos, teams and owner operators. The
company offers a competitive pay package, including a $3,000 sign on bonus for
company drivers and owner operators. PTL also offers the best fuel surcharge
in the industry along with a fuel bonus, incentives to run in New York City
and Canada, guaranteed home time and no loading or unloading.
