Start your truck driving career To become a student at Diesel Driving Academy's training program in Louisiana or Arkansas, you need to meet the following truck driver qualifications and requirements: Current driver's license Be at least 21 years of age Have an acceptable driving record Pass DOT physical and drug screen Meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Parts 383 and 391
