DENVER Overnite Transportation Company, one of the nations leading less-than-truckload carriers, announced this week the official opening of its new Denver Service Center, an important facility in its distribution network for the West and the entire nation.
The new facility located on a 20-acre site features 90 doors, doubling the capacity of Overnites former Denver Service Center. Overnites new center, which employs 84 people, is the latest in a series of company upgrades, market expansions and transit-time improvements.
Relocating our Denver Service Center has allowed us to strengthen our service capabilities by increasing the capacity of this key location, said Steve Kershner, Vice PresidentQuality and Operations Support. As our customers needs in Denver and the surrounding area have grown, we have grown with them so we can continue to deliver the reliable, on-time service they have come to expect from Overnite.
Overnites Denver facility provides next-day service across the Denver metropolitan area, as well as to Kansas City, Kan., and Salt Lake City. Its two-day service extends into key markets in the West and Midwest including Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and Oklahoma City, and into Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Freight destined for points in California, Oregon and Washington State, as well as to select markets in the South and along the Atlantic Coast, fall under a three-day umbrella.
