FORT WAYNE, IN, September 3, 2003 -- Triple Crown Services Company was recently named the number one Intermodal Service Provider by Logistics Management & Distribution Report. This is the third consecutive year that Triple Crown earned the top honor in Logistics magazine's "Quest For Quality" customer survey.

The award, which recognizes Triple Crown Services Company as the number one U.S. intermodal service provider, was announced in the August issue of Logistics Management & Distribution Report.

The Quest For Quality survey is the largest customer satisfaction study in the logistics field. Over 2,700 buyers of transportation and third-party transportation services participated in magazine's 20th annual survey. Service providers were rated in five key areas of logistics excellence: on-time performance, overall value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations. A weighted score was then determined based on the relative importance of each of the rated factors.

Jim Newton, President of Triple Crown Services, stated, "We are very pleased to be honored with this prestigious award. To win it for the third straight year is a significant distinction and a tribute to the continued focus of our exceptional team. Providing our customers with the highest quality truckload service is the primary element of Triple Crown's mission statement, and this award from Logistics magazine is confirmation that we are fulfilling those commitments."

Francis Quinn, Editorial Director of Logistics, noted that "perennial winners obviously understand that performance is not a one-time deal. It's an ongoing process, a pursuit that never ends. They know you have to literally and figuratively deliver the goods every time you pick up a shipment-and, by the way, keep your rates down and continue to make the service even better."
