Marten Transport, Ltd.'s company driver Steven Jallas of Eau Claire, WI was randomly selected as the winner of the company's Second Quarter Idle Percentage Incentive.
The Idle Incentive Program is an hours-based program that enables drivers to earn bonus money for not burning fuel unnecessarily. To qualify, drivers must maintain an idle percentage below 40% during a month.
Drivers who meet the 40% standard for three consecutive months of a quarter are automatically entered into a random drawing where they could win $2,500. All company drivers are eligible to participate in this program.
"Wow, what a nice surprise," Jallas (shown far right) said when presented with the award by Program Director Greg VanPelt (left). "I try to treat the truck like it was my own. So conserving fuel is always important."
