Bryan Foods Inc

Bryan has made a place for itself in the food service industry owing to its distinctive flavor that has been a favorite with families in the South since 1936. The company has been producing these long loved items for over four generations using prime cuts of meat and original family recipes: which accounts for the exclusivity of the product line and unparallel taste.

Way back in 1909, J.C. Bryan, Sr. opened a small meat market in the back of a clapboard storefront in West Point, Mississippi. Family efforts sustained the initial business of pork products for families in the Southern community. Later, around 1936, his two sons John H. Sr. and W.B., set up a full scale processing plant was built. Then onwards, the company began to expand outside of Mississippi. The inclusion of an in-house team coupled with the secret blend of special family recipes which the men folk used in all products which were specifically seasoned and prepared to reflect the flavor that Southern families preferred went a long way in establishing the Bryan brand. Soon the business developed a reputation for delicious, high quality smoked meats that became as legendary as the charm and spirit of hospitality extendable in the South. In 1968, Bryan was associated with the Sara Lee family of brands, a global company with a reputation for excellence worldwide, which further secured another feather in its cap.

Among the variety offered by Bryan Foods Inc., it would be worth mentioning their top of the line products, namely Bacon, Breakfast Sausage, Cocktail Smokiest, Corn Dogs, Fresh Pork, Hams, Hot Dogs, Lunchmeat and Smoked Sausage.

The spirit of family togetherness has turned Bryan Foods into a major food company equipped with specialized processing plants spread over West Point, Mississippi; Athens, Alabama and Tupelo, Mississippi resulting in making them one of the largest single employers in Northeast Mississippi and a major contributor to Southern university scholarship programs as well as a number of local charities.

On a more socially responsible note, Bryan Foods is also one of the proud sponsor of the Southern University Scholarship Program supporting The University of Alabama, Auburn University, University of Mississippi and Mississippi State- retaining the old world values of re-investing in the community that has been responsible for making it a success.
