The transportation of scrap iron has continued as a flourishing business for Stone, raking in a large portion of its revenues. During 1992 and 1995, Stone Transport Inc quadrupled in size, primarily the result of expanding their geographic service area beyond Michigan.The companyÂâ€Ã¢„¢s specializes in engineering solutions that involve custom, dedicated equipment and personnel in by-product removal from manufacturing facilities. In addition, Stone Transport provides scheduled just in time deliveries of raw materials and finished parts to many of these manufacturers. The company has maintenance facilities in Saginaw, MI; Flint, MI; Lansing, MI, Mansfield, OH and London, Ontario. Stone Transport Inc. has an all-conventional company fleet and 400 Employees, 290 Drivers, 250 Tractors. The company is privately held with their corporate headquarters at Saginaw, MI. The company serves 18 states and Canada through its terminals in Saginaw, Flint, Lansing, Fort Wayne, and London, Ontario Canada. It provides dedicated service to plants in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, New York and Ontario.
