Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. was founded in 1968 in Oxford, Ohio by Daniel L. Baker, who learned the cement finisher's trade under the guidance of his grandfather, Elmer Baker, a cement and stone mason for 60 years. Dan started his own business with his two brothers and Baker Cement, as it was first known, placed and finished concrete in the residential market.

As the company developed a reputation for dedication to customer satisfaction, quality, and the reliability of sticking to a schedule, the size of the company and scope of work increased dramatically. Residential work expanded to include light commercial and light industrial projects, super-flat industrial floors, concrete paving, and site concrete and the company also provided total concrete packages, including large superstructures, parking garages and heavy industrial projects. Baker Concrete presently operates throughout the continental United State.

The company currently specializes in eight primary services: Stadiums, Arenas and Convention Centers, Heavy Industrial, Commercial /Institutional, Industrial Floors, Design Build Collaboration, Heavy Highway, High Tech, Architectural and Baker Concrete are licensed to perform heavy concrete construction in all states except South Dakota and Rhode Island.
