Herschell Farmer took over the reins of the company from his father and assumed duty as the President of the company in 1952 and continued the story of success for twenty three years before finally handing over to his son, Richard. The company started the uniform rental business in 1965, a decision that dramatically reshaped the company and revolutionized the uniform marketplace. Cintas was a pioneer in the polyester-cotton blend fabric industry. The technology doubled the life of uniforms and made cleaning more efficient..

Cintas is the largest uniform supplier in North America, with more than 700,000 satisfied clients in its ever increasing client list. The Company has 351 facilities spread out across North America, including 14 manufacturing plants and seven distribution centers. These centers  employ more than 30,000 people.

Cintas has grown over a period of 36 years charting sales in excess of 3 billion U.S. Dollars.
Cintas generally has two types of agreements that we enter into with suppliers. Cintas corporate offices to secure supplier services on a mandatory basis for all of its field offices use corporate Purchase Agreements or CPAs. Voluntary Purchase Agreements or VPAs are preferred status agreements with suppliers that are more recommendations than committed sales for a given supplier.

In all, corporate CPAs and VPAs will provide for the availability of suitable goods and services at competitive prices and superior value. All Cintas field locations follow the purchasing agreements set forth by Cintas Corporate offices.

unconditionally owned by one or more minority individuals; or in the case of any
Publicly-owned businesses, at least 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or
more minority individuals. And whose management and daily business operations are
