Gordon Food service was born in 1897 more than a century age. At the time the world was witnessing a series of historical events like S.A. Andree's Polar Expedition in a hot air balloon, the great Klondike Gold Rush, and production of Marconi's new invention, the radio. The company was destined to make history.

In 1897 23-year- old Isaac VanWestenbrugge, borrowed $300 from his older brother Martin and started his business delivering butter and eggs in Grand Rapids. That was just the beginning and a lot has happened since through the hundred years that followed. Isaac would be a very proud man to see today's result of his humble beginnings!

With over 100 years of experience in the foodservice industry, Gordon Food Service is still a family-owned business committed to its customers and employees.
