The Great Plains Towers started in the early 1950s, the same time Americans began their love affair with the new medium of television. Just as Uncle Miltie, Sid Caesar, Lucy and Ricky were filling America's living rooms with laughter, Ron Reski opened A-1 Radio and Television in Moorhead, Minn., under contract to RCA (Radio Corporation of America) Service Company.
 
In very few years his business was developed, Ron found himself doing a good deal of work with communications towers and commercial antenna systems and soon earned a strong status for his on time service and attention to detail. In 1959, he decided to change the name of his business to Ron's Electronics to replicate the company's variety of services.
 
RonÂâ€Ã¢„¢s son, Kevin, joined RonÂâ€Ã¢„¢s Electronics full time in 1974, the company decided to focus entirely on tower maintenance and erection services. In 1990 the name was changed to Great Plains Towers and company moved to its current location in West Fargo, North Dakota in 1992. From the West Fargo home office, services have been provided all over the upper Midwest and beyond to projects as far away as Argentina and Antarctica. Great Plains Towers continues to develop as a leader in the tower industry.
