Cacique started in a small, abandoned facility next to a drive-in dairy in 1973. The companyÂâ€Ã¢„¢s daily activities use to start at 2am; the companyÂâ€Ã¢„¢s founders use to produce 100 pounds of cheese each day in that small place. The company believes in "the best" can always be better. Today, the company is having a family of more than 500 employees.
The company provides different types of cheese. Some of them are fresh cheeses, blended cheeses, and classic cheeses.
Fresh cheese derived from cow's milk, it is white in color, crumbly texture and most importantly, has a fresh milky taste. Introduced to Early Mexico from Spain, Queso Fresco has become a staple in most Hispanic serving a plate of Queso Fresco and warm tortillas can bring a family to the table. This delicious white cheese can be eaten as is, crumbled over foods or baked any of the favorite recipes since it softens but does not melt. Blended cheese is as smooth as Mexico's Caribbean swept beaches and delightful to the palate as the land of jade and turquoise is to the eyes. Pre-sliced, it is suited for sandwiches or serves as the perfect melt on pizzas, chiles rellenos and nachos.

Classic cheese is one of the most popular cheeses in Mexico. Dry in texture and aged perfectly assure a robust flavor, Classic is the only choice crumbled over refried beans, and salads.
Today, Cacique has grown to a 200,000 square foot advanced state of the art computer controlled facility. Only Grade A milk is used to assure the highest standards of purity and quality. In fact, they are one of the most sophisticated cheese manufacturing facilities in the world.
