United Technologies Corporation (UTC) is a diversified company whose products include Carrier heating and air conditioning, Hamilton Sundstrand aerospace systems and industrial products, Otis elevators and escalators, Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines, Sikorsky helicopters, UTC Fire & Security systems and UTC Power fuel cells.
 
In 1958 United Aircraft was established in the areas of solid rocketry and advanced propulsion systems. In 1975, United Aircraft Corporation changed its name to United Technologies Corporation. The company has 4,000 plus locations and does their business in approximately 180 countries. More than half of their revenues are generated outside the United States and more than 60 percent of their employees work outside the United States.
 
UTC is dedicated to building a supply base that supports their product strategies, is tightly linked to their manufacturing value streams, and provides value to their customers.
