Peterson Fruit Company was inception in November of 1957 by Charles and his wife Rosalie Schindler. It took 10 to 15 years of long days and long hauls until Charles and Rosalie were able to start increasing the business with more employees and a larger fleet of trucks. Charles learned the very useful lesson of the best quality for the best price. Charles accompanied by Rosalie, made many trips to Wenatchee and vicinity to seek out good buys for their customers.

Curt and Eric grew up in the business contributing to the daily bagging of apples, warehousing and ultimately making deliveries and sales. Curt is no longer active in the business. Eric has taken over daily operation along with Buyer/Sales Manager, Ken Conway and Sales Manager, Lon Hudson. They both struggle very hard to keep the office and warehouse running in an efficient and productive manor. Additionally, Peterson Fruit Company employs 22 people. They have a group of individuals dedicating and committed themselves to working together and making every effort to maintain the service and quality that they are dedicated to providing to all their customers.

Peterson Fruit Company succeeds in an atmosphere of quality service in a specialized industry where knowledge of the availability of Washington State Apples and fresh fruit from all over the world allows them to be aggressive in their prices and give the customers timely, on budget and efficient service.

The warehouse at this location was built in 1979 and then an addition was made to this building in 1988.The first warehouse for Peterson Fruit Company was on Charles and Rosalie's property at their Lynnwood home, they soon outgrew this and moved on to rent warehouse space elsewhere. Charles and Rosalie's again outgrew this in about 10 years and bought property in what is now the Mukilteo Industrial Park. Presently company has their 26,000-sq.ft. Warehouse.
