A Anastasio & Sons Co Inc. was established in 1977. They started with one driver Andrew Anastasio, and one truck.  Through hard work and determination the company grew.  

They acquired a terminal in 1984, which is being used as their base station.  They also acquired a 100 acre reload and distribution facility.  Anastasio Trucking purchased Connecticut Limo, which is a ground transportation company, in 1996.  A barge terminal equipped with a tank farm was also purchased by them in 1998. 

They employee over 500 people and own over 350 vehicles and equipment pieces.  Anastasio Trucking is proud to be a family owned and run business for over 20 years now and look forward to their future growth.
Their equipments include all of their trailers and tractors, conventional & sleeper tractors, 45' flatbed trailers, 48' flatbed trailers, 45' van trailers, specialized trailers, Tri-axle 24' Trucks.
Anastasio Trucking serves with experience lumber and building material transporters.   They handle all types of material such as finished lumber, treated lumber, dimensional lumber, panel products, shingles etc. Their St. Joseph Wood Products recycles and clean wood waste to produce mulch and colored mulch for landscaping.    The companyÂâ€Ã¢„¢s circle of life has a Connecticut D.E.P. transfer station to handle various waste flows for volume reduction, truce and rail car transfers.
Their turn bridge marine terminal is a barge terminal on the Quinnipiac River in New Haven, which has two 100 ton cranes with 100' booms.  The crane is equipped with multiple attachments to handle different commodities.  The terminal also has inside and outside storage and approximately a 4 million gallon fuel tank capacity. The companyÂâ€Ã¢„¢s weigh station states certified 70Ââ€Ã¢„¢ 140 ton scale which affords them the ability to optimize loads according to the maximum legal weight.  All their loads can be accurately weighed before trip. Their communication system currently consists of cell phones, pagers and Nextel 2 way radio communications.
The company expands so will their need for better communication.  With this in mind, they will be establishing the following communication features in the near future like GPS, route oversight and mobile fax capable and many more.
