Fort Transfer Co was established in 1925 by George Fort.  Fort Transfer was strictly a farm to market and local freight delivery Company serving central Illinois. This was the second company granted by Illinois operating Authority.
 
Today, their extensive fleet with terminal locations in the South and Midwest safely carries thousands of loads of liquid bulk every year to meet the needs of the crop protection customers.  Fort Transfer operates one of the largest liquid bulk storage facilities in the Midwest with a capacity of 2.6 million gallons. In 1965, they broadened their operations to include the transportation of hazardous materials.
 
Their staff with experts is always willing to work with customers who have specialized needs. Some of those specialized services include repackaging, transloading and much more. Through their efforts, Fort Transfer has become a leader in the specialized services of liquid bulk, but they havenÂâ€Ã¢„¢t stopped there. With over 200 trailers in FortÂâ€Ã¢„¢s fleet, they can handle all your liquid bulk transportation needs. They are also equipped with single bore aluminum tanks, stainless steel MC-307/407 Single Compartment with metering capabilities and vans with 48 foot box vans with drip containment pans and lift gates and many more.
