Stewart Truck Line Inc was purchased by Charlie Davis in 1955. Stewart Truck Line Inc then was owned by Tracy Stewart, was a freight hauling business serving the local area. When they took over ownership, they started with only two trucks. They continued to serve the local area with service to and from the Portland area.

In 1956 Charlie bought Stiles Truck Line. Stiles Truck Line, then owned by Joe Stiles, was local milk hauling company with some freight rights as well. Charlie saw that the extra freight rights would increase the companyÂâ€Ã¢„¢s service area and help gain more customers and expand the business. Both truck lines being well known in the area, Charlie decided to combine the names to make Stewart Stiles Truck Line. At the time, keeping these familiar names was beneficial because people knew of them and the service.
