The Quikrete Companies began in Columbus, Ohio, in the early 1940s. Gene Winchester was General Manager of Maintenance Products, Inc., a company that produced stucco for commercial uses. This company eventually became The Quikrete Companies. Mr. Winchester, anticipating a growing national Do-It-Yourself market, recognized that the do-it-yourselfers needed pre-mixed, dry-packaged concrete for many uses. Thus, Quikrete was born.

The original vision for The Quikrete Companies was to develop a patented manufacturing process for packaged concrete. Then, with the trademarked name of Quikrete, the company moved forward in the development of affordable equipment to ensure consistency in all Q Quikrete products. Quikrete moved its corporate headquarters from Columbus, Ohio, to Atlanta, Georgia in 1981. The company operates a research and development technical center, which also serves as the hub of Quikrete quality assurance.

Today, the Quikrete line has more than seventy products in its line for residential and commercial uses that include; Concrete and Mortar Mixes, Concrete Repair Products, Stucco, Waterproofing, Tile Setting and Blacktop Products, Floor Underlayments, Sand and Aggregates and other Seasonal Items.

The company also designs and produces its own-patented machinery to measure, blend and package its products. Quikrete is the number one name in concrete and introduces a new line of coatings to seal, protect, and decorate your garage floor, driveway, patio, basement, & more.

A fully accredited product testing, research and development/quality assurance center is located in Atlanta, Georgia and the company has more than 75 manufacturing facilities, with plants located throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and South America.

The Quikrete Companies is always accepting applications for positions in all locations. If you are interested in a career with Quikrete you can be assured that they are a good company to work with and take good care of their employees. After all happy employees will pass on some of that satisfaction to their customers.
