National Private Truck Council (NPTC)

The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) is the only organization in the U.S. whose sole purpose is to protect the interests of the private corporate trucking industry. Many industries are represented by this council from manufacturing companies to distributors and retailers.

The represented companies range from all sizes; they approve  membership from any entity that is in the private trucking industry and that has interest including dedicated fleet services, for-hire trucking, third-party logistics, truck and maintenance leasing and allied/vendor suppliers.

The Board of Directors of NPTC represents many big names of the American economy such as General Mills, Kraft Foods, Verizon, ConAgra Foods, Bridgestone/Firestone, Wal-Mart, McKee Foods, Mack Leasing, and CPC Logistics among many others.

The most important reasons of the existence of NPTC are advocacy, education, professional advancement, and recognition. The Safety Compliance Committee of the NPTC is actively involved in every process.

The NPTC Institute is available for members that want to receive training courses for the Certified Transportation Professional (CTP), which is the official certificate that recognizes private trucking workers. There are also the recognition ceremonies where awards are given out to those professionals and companies who stand out for their excellent performance.

The National Private Truck Council represents the private trucks and all of those around it. They provide up-to-date information to all of their members about all the decisions that can affect the lives of those in the private trucking industry.
