RICHMOND, VA, June 9 On Monday, June 6, 2005, Estes Express Lines announced the opening of a new warehousing and logistics center in York, PA. Serving the central Pennsylvania and Maryland markets, this newest facility is the seventh location for Estes Innovative Transportation Services and Warehousing along the Eastern Seaboard and in the Midwest.
The York, PA, facility extends the Estes warehousing network allowing them to offer warehousing, volume LTL, partial truckload and specialized transportation services to a greater percentage of the northeastern region.
Initial points of service include York, Harrisburg, Carlisle, Lancaster, Mechanicsburg, Reading, Philadelphia and Allentown, PA, as well as Wilmington, DE, and Baltimore, MD. Nightly runs are already planned between the York facility and Estes existing warehousing and logistics center in Millbury, MA.

"As we grow our territory, we are simultaneously growing our warehousing and transportation capabilities for our customers with improvements such as upgrades to our warehouse management network system." Estes currently maintains warehouse/logistics centers in Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin. An eighth warehousing and logistics center in Virginia is scheduled to open later this year.
