Eastern Express: Safety is a Priority

In 1981, Richard L. Loftus (current Owner and President) founded Eastern Express, a privately held company run by the Loftus family. They have more than 35 offices across the United States.

Eastern Express acknowledges that safety has to be the main concern in this business. Customers want to receive their products safely and on time. This company knows that it all starts with the drivers.

The company performs background checks on every applicant. The driver must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Important skills like cargo securement and protection skills are tested and are carefully evaluated. This makes Eastern Express one of the hardest companies to get in, as it has very high standards in its hiring procedures.

This commitment to safety was recognized when the U.S.D.O.T. rated the measurements at Eastern Express as Satisfactory Safety.

If you want to find a stable job, this a great opportunity, do not hesitate, take a look at the requirements needed. Remember that Eastern Express will perform a full Employment Background investigation.

A few openings are available since only certain terminals need drivers. The requirements for these positions are: to be at least 25 years old, if the driver applies for the Van division he must have at least 2 years of verifiable experience, if the driver applies for the flat bed division he must have at least 3 years of experience with 6 months of flat bed verifiable experience.

Drivers can not have more than 3 moving citations in the past year and no DUI, or any serious violations from DOT and suspensions or revocations for points in the last five years.

They must not have preventable accidents in the past twelve months and they need to pass a DOT physical and a drug screen.
