According to Kevin Little, General Manager Expedited Services at Dynamex, We evaluated a variety wireless solutions before proceeding with Cancom. We

performed due diligence in areas such as financial stability, true 24/7-customer support, customer references and reliability and redundancy. Cancom met our expectations in every category.

Dynamex expects OmniTRACS to improve response time and reduce operational costs. In the expedited industry, it is vital that you communicate with your clients in a proactive way. By migrating to a data platform as opposed to voice, Dynamex will be able to control their expedited fleet from one centralized location. Dynamex will benefit from reduced telecommunications costs and at the same time improve communications. Its not uncommon for a dispatcher to receive 8 10 driver calls on a single delivery, which is costly and time-consuming. Kevin said, OmniTRACS has replaced all the phone calls attached to each delivery, ensuring peace of mind because we have up-to-date information on all of our shipments in real-time. OmniTRACS allows our dispatchers to manage by exception. Due to the reduction in the number of calls coming into dispatch, we redeployed a dispatcher into a full-time backhaul role.

Integration was also key feature for Dynamex. Any wireless packaged had to be compatible with Dynamex existing platform. Cancom has answered the integration call and today we are fully integrated; from the release of the pro-bill to the driver to empty call. From pick-up, all the way to completion and proof-of-delivery, we provide automated updates to keep operations informed and customers up-to-date, said Kevin.
