Swift Transportation Advancement Opportunities:
Top drivers are always encouraged to consider management and administrative positions as they become available. These positions are always awarded based on tenure and standing in Swift Transportation Company. Your Driver Manager will help you obtain an application.

Swift Transportation Home Time:

Our Driver managers strive to get every driver an average of one day off for every six days driven. Our drivers are away from home an average of 10 to 14 days at a time and home for 1 or 2 days when they get back. The longer you are with Swift and the better job you do, this home time will improve. Exceptional employees with Swift are looked at first to run in the dedicated fleets, which typically get a person home more frequently.

Swift Dedicated Fleets:
Working well with your driver manager, doing a good job, being a reliable, safe and courteous driver will enable you to work your way into Swifts many dedicated fleets. This could occur around your 6-month anniversary and could get you home much more often. There are dedicated accounts in almost every terminal in our system. These jobs are given to Swifts best drivers.

Swift Terminal Locations:

Drivers can be based at any of 37 full-service Swift terminals, your home away from home. Terminals are you source for fuel, maintenance and repair service. Fuel lane personnel are trained to assist drivers with safety and maintenance checks.
